Summer FayreÂ
Congratulations to Emma Russell and her wonderful team of volunteers for what was another fantastic summer fayre. Thank you to everyone who helped out beforehand, on the day and all the parents who sent in tombola prizes, cakes etc. We raised around £3,000.Â
Mums Vs Teachers RoundersÂ
Mums reign victorious, in another tightly fought match, the Mums sealed victory over the teachers team by one rounder. Thanks to everyone who took part, for those who came and supported and to Mark White for umpiring.Â
Village DayÂ
We are still celebrating winning first prize in the parade where all the children dressed in red and white and carried a massive St George flag to support our world cup theme. Our tombola stall was very popular and was busy for most of the day.Â
KS1 Easter Bonnet ParadeÂ
Thanks to the PTA pink, yellow and blue could be seen all around the Key Stage 1 playground as the term ended for the Easter break. KS1 children enjoyed decorating Easter bonnets with chicks, eggs, feathers, bunnies, flowers and lots more before parading in front of Mr White and the other KS1 children.Â
World Book DayÂ
The PTA helped to celebrate World Book Day with a week of events including; all the children dressing up as their favorite book character, author visits, writing workshops and a book swap. Laura Dockrill, an accomplished poet, author and illustrator gave 2 assemblies and poetry workshops. Throughout the day brilliant writers and storytellers from the local comunity came into school and worked with the children. Great fun was had by all. Â
Chinese New Year WeekÂ
The PTA provided £300 to purchase art materials to allow the children to get creative. During the week the children experienced a range of activities including making tangrams, practicing chinese calligraphy, painting and making dragons. The PTA also gave each child a red packet called ‘haong bao’ which symobilises luck and wealth, they normally contain money but we filled them with a ‘gold’ chocolate coin.Â
Quiz Night 5th February 2010Â
We thought ‘Guess the Jelly Bean’ round could not be topped bu ‘The Generation Game’ round had the contestants in stitiches. Another fantastic quiz and highly amusing night out, it just gets better and better – what will our creative quiz masters Roger and Hilary Lawrence and Anna and Adam Bain think of next year? We raised over £900.Â
Theatre Trip – Peter Pan Â
A good time was had by all, many thanks to Anne Aldridge for organising.Â
Christmas Lunch – 16th December 2009.Â
The PTA provided festive tablecloths and crackers for the Christmas lunch and all the children received some nut free chocolate coins.Â
Nearly end of term disco – 11th December 2009.Â
This term came to an end with the ever popular end of term disco for KS1 and KS2. The new ticket collection system worked well. Many thanks to Anne Aldridge and all who helped out on the night.Â
Christmas Fair. 5th December 2009.Â
Thank you to all of you who came along and supported our Christmas Fair and to those of you who supplied cakes, pots and prizes and helped on the day. All the children had a great time and we raised just over £4,000. Â
Design a Christmas Card competition.Â
The children created some lovely festive designs to provide personalised cards for friends and family. Many thanks to Nikki Smith for organising this.Â

Despite a wet and windy morning you arrived in your droves following a weekend of clearing out with bags of unwanted clothes.Â

The ever popular Girls Pink NIght had another successful year making lots of money for various charities.Â
